The Need: What problem are you trying to solve?

Discrimination,& marginalization Nigerian women are suffering from while they were girls has not helped in empowering them in any form. despite all effort either constitutional or whatsoever, government has not issued effective policy for the purpose of gender-balance; hence women suffered all these from their male colleagues even in the same parastatal whereas they supposed to shear equal rights & opportunity with their men counterparts. it is obvious that the crucial role of women in economic, political or social development in Nigeria remain untapped.Women in Riverine suffer most due to their circumstances and need urgent intervention 'empowerment' to enhance their economic & social productivity, hence contribute to the development of their community & care for their families.

The Solution: What is your solution? Be specific!

•Use of Drama that depicts potentials in women and their role in the community.

The Model: Walk us through a specific example of how your solution makes a difference; include your primary activities

Their are unique styles that differentiate our work from others such as; having workshop to enlighten the MEN/BOYS on their benefit in empowering the girls. We shall use drama and songs as part of our method and we shall bring in the community as partners/owners of the project. The project is also 'one train five' strategy.

The Marketplace: Who are your peers and competitors? Identify others also working to address the needs you are and what differentiates you from them. What challenges could these players pose to your success or growth?

in Lagos State, Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has issued warning on men maltreating their wives or men against women, NGOs are also preaching and holding seminars on gender balance and yet the problem is in increase especially in rural/riverine communities.
Community is tired of hearing and preaching, they need practical/Action. Empowering and building the capacity of these women will make a great change. - It will enhance the economic and social productivity of the women and girls.

Founding Story: We want to hear about your "Aha!" moment. Share the story of where and when the founder(s) saw this solution's potential to change the world.

Ifesinachi Sam-Emuwa is the founder of the organization and this project. She is a practical example of why this project or innovation. While she was 14 years, as a girl, her parent could not continue in her education rather they wanted her to marry a 40 year old man even while her brother where sent to school, though her elder sisters are all married and not educated. she refused and ran away to her Aunty who also sent her hawking in the street. One day, she could not sale as much and her aunty chess-ed her out to no where and she went to an uncompleted building to sleep. She escaped rape by one pastor who was going for night prayers. This pastor, after asking her questions took her to her parents and promised to train her in school. Today Ifesinachi graduated from a University and has vowed to fight for the rights of women/girls from the grass root.
