The Forever Wall

Thought history humans have been drawing on the walls in our public spaces. Even as communications in our world have become faster we still often find time to scratch our names into tables or on fence posts. The Forever Wall suggests the next step forward by enabling digital connectivity, archiving, and content creation tools to these basic desires to make an impact on the world. The Forever Wall is a kiosk installed in public green spaces that enables users to write text, draw image, take photographs, record audio and post them either anonymously or named to the Internet. In addition the kiosk has a secondary interactive display that enables users to interact with the created content. A kiosk will be created to enable content creation from inside of our green space. To reiterate, users must be at the green space in order to create content. However, the created content can be browsed, ranked, and commented on from any Internet capable terminal. Content posted to The Forever Wall will be digitally archived with the intention of never expiring. So in addition to simply creating an interactive art display, The Forever Wall is also a time capsule that shows a direct reflection of human interaction with our green spaces.

We are looking for ideas from people who can make them happen. Tell us about yourself or your team.

I am software engineer working at the CTO of Interbots a local robotic startup. I have experience in content creation systems, and hardware manufacturing. As of now there are no other team members but feel that I have the appropriate contacts to fill positions as they become available.

I’ve created and deployed content creation systems in the video and audio arena. I work in robotics with many individuals that can fabricate kiosks. An artists capable of designing the kiosk would need to be added to the team. Additionally, someone who can navigate the red tape required to get the kiosk placed in a public green space.
