Name Your Project
Jemobare Children, Youths and Women Against HIV / AIDS.
Describe Your Idea
Innovation
Describe your idea in fewer than 50 words.
My idea is to address the problems facing the children youths and women from poor households in Kenya like unemployment and drug abuse that lead them to commit petty crimes and eventually maybe acquire HIV / AIDS.
What makes your idea unique?
My idea is unique in the sense that it will address all the problems facing the youths by first assessing from the ground information since I am from the same ground. This will give me together with my team a chance to come up with tailor made solutions for our problems. This will be like starting income generating business ventures and engaging the children, youths and women in activities aimed at making them self reliant and self sustaining.

So far we have not addressed any problems since ours is still on the idea phase.
Describe the steps that your organization is taking to make your project successful.
My organization is first trying to gain the ground support by the target community by advertisements and holding road shows to familiarize ourselves to those we are going to work with. In addition to that we have set our offices and resource centres countrywide in order for it to be easily assessable.
Impact
What will it take for your project to be successful over the next three years? Success in Year 1:
Trying to gain the ground support by the target community by advertisements and holding road shows to familiarize ourselves to those we are going to work with. In addition to that we will set our offices and resource centres countrywide.
Success in Year 2:
Mobilizing for funds and laying all those strategies in tangible and workable ventures. This will be through acquiring soft loans from microfinance institutions that work with youths and women. We will also be lobbying for fundraiser or sponsors to kick start the whole venture.
Success in Year 3:
Using all the acquired financial resources and other resources like land to generate income and sustainability to our group members.
Do you have a business plan or strategic plan? (yes/no)

What are the three most important actions needed to grow your initiative or organization? STEP 3:
The third step is to translate the whole idea into reality by employing all the factors of production like land, labour and capital for a true success of the whole project.
Describe the expected results of these actions.
In the first three years, all the above strategies will give us much yields as well as increasing our group members because of the targeted publicity that we are anticipating.
What was the defining moment that led you to this innovation?
I feel challenged when I walk in the streets of our towns and cities in Kenya where you I find several fellow youths idling and doing all the social vices that you can name. Back in the villages poor mothers have it rough as they are pushed to the fence by the ravaging poverty. Consequently, their children suffer from otherwise preventable diseases and malnutrition. At long last these mothers and youths end up engaging in vices like robbery, drug abuse and peddling as well as prostitution in order for them to catch a cent for a living. HIV / AIDS come in and they all perish.
Tell us about the social innovator behind this idea.
The social innovator behind this great idea is my grandfather a centurion, a man born just the past century but his ideologies and words are of silver and gold to my mind and soul.
How did you first hear about Changemakers?
I heard of the Change Makers via an advertisement in one local Daily “Nation” in Kenya and also through their website on the internet.
This Entry is about (Issues)
Sustainability
What would prevent your project from being a success?
If there will be political interference like the just ended Post Election Violence in Kenya where many of the business ventures and other organizations lost quite a lot of capital and other resources. Secondly, a case of long spells of drought and poor climatic conditions because mostly we will be dealing with agricultural activities for the sake of our betterment. But despite all these am very much optimistic and do believe that ours will be a success story.
