Changemakers Makes News at Clinton Global Initiative

There's big news coming out of this year's Clinton Global Initiative that will change the lives of women around the world.

Bill Clinton, Ashoka founder Bill Drayton, and Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson announced the launch of a major partnership to create a global competition identifying innovative technologies to improve the quality of life for women in developing countries.

In January 2010, the Technologies to Improve Women’s Economic Livelihoods initiative will also introduce the Young Champions for Maternal Health Program, the first international fellowship program connecting young professionals with seasoned social entrepreneurs to improve maternal health in developing countries.

Here's Charlie Brown, Ashoka Changemakers' Executive Director, discussing the importance of this groundbreaking commitment.
