What will be the impact of your idea?
As an organization focused on social change, we understand that measuring the impact of our programs is the key to long-term success. The overall goal of Voices of Our Future is to foster a new generation of women leaders so women equally contribute to and influence media and policy. Our direct program impact will be measured by the following indicators:
• Increased professional development and skills in citizen journalism and web 2.0 technology for 120 international grassroots women
• Increased personal development including self-awareness, confidence, and empowered leadership of 30 international grassroots women
• The Increased visibility of on-the-ground issues affecting women’s lives

The combined passion, skills, and drive of our team to bring about creative solutions to raise women’s voices, ensures Voices of our Future's success.
Rachael Maddock-Hughes, Voices of Our Future Program Manager: Rachael brings eight years of experience in non-profit and international community development, with field work in Myanmar, Thailand, India and Afghanistan. Her expertise is in program design and management, grant development, and monitoring/evaluation.
Janice Wong, Director of Operations: Janice has over 25 years experience working with Fortune 100 companies to small start-ups and non-profits.
Scott Beck, Voices of Our Future Program Coordinator: Scott has a B.A. in International Development, with a concentration in Women's Studies. He has volunteered for community development projects in Namibia, Nicaragua, and the USA.
Jade Frank, Online Community Manager: Jade has a degree in Journalism and has worked in public relations in the US, and as a reporter for international online and print publications The Santiago Times and Amsterdam Weekly.
How much will it cost to launch your idea? (This can be an estimate)
The budget for Voices of Our Future 2010 is approximately $250,000. This will support, but is not limited to:
Program development and management: implementing best practices learned during pilot; developing Each One Teach Five; deepening relationships with partners; cultivating new partnerships which increase our capacity and reach; developing curriculum for girls; developing the Global Correspondent's Network.
Online Community Management: managing spikes in site registration and activity as a result of outreach, application, and training; providing nurturing, support, and troubleshooting to trainees.
Outreach and marketing: working with partners on viral marketing campaign to promote Voices of Our Future; channeling stories from Voices of Our Future to wider audiences via our social networking profiles and other influential forums.
Editorial: building systems to vet, package, and disseminate stories; leading development and management of the Global Correspondent's Network.
