Ante la ausencia de servicios integrales de rehabilitación sistemática, los programas de fútbol para personas con discapacidades físicas/ discapacidades visuales proporcionan experiencias transformadoras abordando objetivos de rehabilitación física y psicológica, facilitando la reintegración e inclusión en la sociedad, mejorando el estado de salud a través del aumento del cuidado personal y disminuyendo la aparición de condiciones medicas secundarias que comprometen la vida. Los jóvenes haitianos con discapacidades son especialmente vulnerables debido al terremoto ocurrido el 12 de enero 2010 que desbastó la nación.
