In a scientific study comparing three different nutritional supplementation strategies (sprinkles, Nutritabs, and Nutributter), a multi-national team of scientists studied 612 children of 5 months of age, who were randomly assigned to one of these three intervention, or no intervention. The study demonstrated high compliance. Motor development showed improvement in all three intervention groups, but improved growth was limited to the Nutributter group.
Reason:
Increasing the rigor of scientific studies, and comparing efficacy of established interventions is promising and important. NGOs and Governments have a number of options that have been demonstrated to improve nutritional outcome in young children.
