A Global Experteering Network: Inspiring and enabling professionals to donate their expertise to social enterprises around the world.
Problema
According to the World Economic Forum, Social Enterprises are performing under their potential due to lack of access to quality talent, coaching, networks, and information.
Meanwhile, professionals around the world are seeking more fulfilling and meaningful experiences
Solução
Create a win-win by linking the SE ‘Talent Gap’ issue to the desire for ‘meaningful experiences’ of Pros. Using technology as a scalable solution to match and guide Pros and SEs to find each other, and make the most out of time together. In addition to matching:
1. First-to-market: First to popularize and enable ‘Experteering’ (service mark in progress)
2. Lower Costs and Scalability: Eliminating need to manage placements and also circumventing high-priced, service-based middlemen that manually place volunteers
3. Strong Launch Partners: BiD Network and others, providing access to 30,000+ SE’s
4. Impact Reporting: Partnering with international certifying organization, aggregating data, and delivering custom reports to partners
5. Partner Empowerment: Developing custom experience for partners, including comprehensive reporting and custom community tools
Exemplo
Social enterprises (SEs) post their business need to the MovingWorlds online platform.
It matches them to professionals (Pros) eager to donate expertise in exchange for a short live/travel-abroad experience.
The SEs and Pros connect online - much like a dating site - and discuss project specifics and room & board arrangements.
The Pro travels to the SE and completes the project, and then both submit a report on impact.
When the Pro returns home, he/she can continue to support the SE virtually.
Reports are aggregated to share with impact and development partners
Ofertas e demandas
Currently, there is no central marketplace to connect Pros and SEs. While various volunteer placement sites or similar work-abroad portals exist (idealist.org, catchafire.org, omprakash.org), none focus on SEs and Pros, nor adopt a demand-driven, community-based approach.
