This is an interesting idea, especially with immediate feedback. One issue a lot of people have with social sites is information overload - could you elaborate on how you plan to determine who to contact and when regarding these developing events? Also, I was curious if you have looked into potential partnerships in this space?
Who to contact: people nearby, people following certain topics or issues, basically a subscription model where you can always fine tune how much/little you want to be involved. Regarding partners, we are still in the very preliminary idea phase, but very open to any suggestions.
