This organisation brings publicity to a topic that is swept under the rug all over the world. Street/campus harassment is a very real problem, making women and even men feel uncomfortable walking on streets alone, causing people to take safety measures like carrying pepper spray or putting keys in between fingers to fend off harassers or attackers. I and many others I know have benefited from the organisation's programmes and have felt empowered to speak out against street harassment. In a country that needs it desperately, Canımız Kampüste is a remarkable that will make university campuses safer and empower others against gender-based violence.
