Normally these handicrafts are sold at exorbitant prices in boutiques, and upscale stores. Many who cannot afford the price miss out on owning a great piece of art...so platforms such as these are a great way to benefit craftsmen and customers.
Do the craftsmen design these products on their own, or do you have designers who get particular items made for your company?
Are these craftsmen employed with you full-time?
You have very well pointed out the problem faced by the common man in buying these products. This in a big way affects the sale of the Indian handicraft in the domestic market. The artisans have inherited the art and the process from their fore fathers. They have been making the same traditional designs from centuries. We need to provide them with new designs and products which not only depicts their work and art but it also matches the taste if the market. Thus we have designers who design products based on the market trends and people's demand. The artisans make them using their art and their traditional process. Right now the company is in infancy so the artisans are part time workers. From august onwards we will be making the artisans permanent.

Hi Rachna, as of now Fusion Craft is working on bulk order models. The initial few years will be spent working on this model only. This allows us to have continuous flow of money. After 3rd year we will go into retail business and will have shops where we will keep the products.
Do you have a sustainable flow of orders for products all year round, or only during occasions (where companies would look for corporate gifts)?
In terms of marketing, do you have a strategy to reach a larger audience?

Yes we do have a sustainable flow of orders throughout the year. It's not just the corporates but also the academic institutions and interior decoration, hospitality industry we are targeting. This helps us in getting orders round the year.
