My inspiration for the development of society propelled me to undertake the following initiatives
• 25/4/2008 Project Coordinator as National Lead Agency-Ghana for the Global Youth Service Day.
• 9 – 11 December, 2007, Delegate, at the Jubilee Youth Leaders Summit, held in Silicon Hotel at Kumasi, main purpose was to Develop a workable youth agenda for 2008 and beyond partners involved include (the Government of Ghana, UN Volunteer, UNDP and others).
• June 18 – 25, 2007, Delegate, Pan African Youth Leadership Forum “Democracy in Africa: Renewing the Vision”, held in Labadi Beach Hotel, participation was drawn from across Africa, some dignities present included the former president of Ireland (1990 - 1997), Mary Robinson
• 3rd May 2007 Group Facilitator, at the Youth Action Movement the youth volunteer wing of the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) Conference
• 22/4/2007 Coordinator and Facilitator, a Training Seminar on Community Development and MDGs organized by Youth Realities Network and supported by Global Youth Action Network (GYAN) Ghana for some selected youth at Ashaley-Botwe in Adenta a suburb of Accra.
• March 8-11th 2007 Member of Planning Committee, The third annual Student World Assembly (SWA) International Convention at the University of Ghana Legon on Human Trafficking, Co-sponsored by UNICEF – Ghana
• 22/4/2006 – Delegate, at the World Bank Development Dialogue Series, Youth Employment Dialogue and Exhibition on the theme: The Youth and Job Creation in Ghana held in Great Hall, University of Ghana, Ghana
I am passionate to lead local communities work out their future in a manner that does not compromise the shared benefits of future generations, through the promotion and consolidation of good governance and the rule of law within local government structures, and the development and management of community action programmes that empower local people, especially the vulnerable, to make informed choices regarding the smooth development of themselves and their local communities.
Currently pursuing a B.A. (Hons Degree) in Development Management at Ghana Christian University College and holds a certificate in Marketing. He worked extensively in HIV/AIDS advocacy during his post-secondary education at The Academy of Business Administration and a delegate to the National Jubilee Youth Leaders Forum in Kumasi. He is a member of the Youth In Action project, a Global Youth Action Network (GYAN Ghana) and World Bank Institute initiative. He contributed immensely to the E-Consultation on Youth Participation in Poverty Reduction Strategies hosted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with the World Bank Institute. Cyril presented a paper on “youth and job creation” at the World Youth Congress in Quebec, Canada, and is extensively involved in national youth dialogue and advocacy, on issues involving rights for women and children, and other pressing global maladies.
