PlumpyField is a network of manufacturers of Plumpy'nut RUTF and other ready-to-use foods (RUFs) for the treatment or prevention of malnutrition. All are changemakers, striving to improve nutritional autonomy in their region by making quality nutritional solutions available and accessible.
All countries affected by malnutrition, and especially those where PlumpyField members are active: Niger, Ethiopia, Malawi, DRC, Madagascar, Mozambique, Tanzania, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Dominican Republic, India.
We have the means to tackle malnutrition, let's do it!
Our mandate is to contribute to nutritional autonomy, defined as the ability for a State, a community or and individual to identify and procure, via sustainable systems, the nutrients needes by young children or other population groups at risk of malnutrition.
The PlumpyField network was initiated by Nutriset (http://www.nutriset.fr) in 2005, and now holds 11 members in developing countries, as well as a foundation in the United States.
In addition to the distribution of RUFs for humanitarian or public health partners, the PlumpyField network engaged in social marketing projects to foster access to food supplements that can prevent malnutrition in vulnerable children from the so-called "bottom of the pyramid" (BoP) population group.
