My career profile ranges from a head of department at the British Council, Founder and Managing Director of my own business and Director of a medium sized charity. This breadth of experience has ensured a deep understanding of the operational demands of leading any organisation. I have been a Trustee of voluntary sector organisations since I was 21 holding various executive positions including Chair of Manchester Mind (present), Chair of Manchester Citizens Advice Bureau and Treasurer of the George House Trust.
I have gained expertise in organisational governance, strategic and business planning, restructuring services and identifying and implementing efficiency savings. I have a successful track record in trust fundraising through quantifying what needs funding, key elements of the project and organisations and matching them to the most appropriate funders. I am an outstanding project manager and am deeply passionate about the role of the Third Sector in improving the quality of people’s lives in a healthy and inclusive society.
