Born 1953 - Toronto
Grew up in Toronto, began going onto the land at a very early age.
Became a Junior Forest Ranger in Cochrane, Ontario (MNR program). This reinforced my love and affection for the land and Aboriginal issues.
Educated at U of Toronto, then graduated Honours BSc from U of Alberta (1977), M.Sc (1979 Calgary), Ph.D (U of New Brunswick 1986). Did Diplomas in Fish Health at US Fish and Wildlife Service Academy in West Virginia. Worked as Fish Health Biologist for Ontario MNR for 4 years, then did Post Doc in Microbiology at U of Guelph.
Went to teacher's College at U of Ottawa (1992) and began teaching career in Guelph for Upper Grand district SB to present.
