Rareş works as a Technology Analyst on Changemakers team. Before coming to Ashoka, Rareş was a student at Harvard, from which he received a B.A. in Social Studies. His senior thesis focused on trends in US philanthropy, and he believes that the Changemakers model can revolutionize this field by promoting transparency, cooperation and effective giving. His work also draws on experience developed at Google and Root Cause, where he was involved with designing new technology products for the citizen sector. Rareş comes from Transylvania (a region of Romania) and enjoys swimming, ambient music, and photography.
