Naturally Together

In the work I have performed for several institutions during the last 15 years as coordinator of an Outpatient Treatment Center focused on additions in the City of Cosquín and Córdoba Capital City, I noticed that the proposed approach increased the administration of psychiatric drugs, mainly benzodiazepines, in patients who suffer from substance abuse; evidencing collateral effects which, at the same time were minimized by the psychiatric perspective.
Statistically as from 2001 to date the administration of pharmacologic medication has been increased in cases of young people suffering from drug addiction.
This fact advanced when Public Mental Health Institution collapsed, consequently professionals in charge of the service started using psychiatric drugs growingly in order to treat situations related to drug consumption. On the other hand, I noticed that young people failed to integrate socially after quitting their addiction; that is to say, the first part of the treatment worked correctly, however, when people had to return to society ...it did not. Consequently, they collapsed.
In addition to this, I confirmed within my research that prevention was not being performed at Secondary Schools where every year the supply of drug increased, there was not intervention on the supply neither on the demand for drugs. Little by little, experience lead me to question the dominant paradigm and its prevention and treatment model, therefore I started thinking about a new alternative that might overcome these two problems, by creating my philosophy. On the other hand, the spiritual dimension is approached in the case of Religious institutions or denied in the case of Biologic Medicine. However, there are no alternatives that consider the integration of spiritual elements from the unity point of view; in a respectful manner, reassessing our existence from the experience in full contact with nature.

Since I was 17 years old, I started, without being aware of that, to do some research on the subject of drugs and marginal groups within a field research that took twelve years of my life. Finally, and after being one year and a half in the rehabilitation center I started sharing that “Field research” with people who experience a reality similar to the one I have chosen.
I am a Physical Education Professor, Addiction Socio therapeutic operator, student at 4th year if the Psychology Degree at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba; graduated in Drug dependency Prevention and Assistance I have attended training on addictions in Spain, Italy and Peru.
For 2 years, I studied Comechingones’ Indigenous Medicine using disease diagnosis and treatment methods applying mountain plants.
My intention is to combine my personal experience with academic knowledge and research with medicinal plants.
At present, I continue experimenting new work alternatives shared with parents and educators in the frame of Guidance and Prevention of drug consumption in its varied forms.
