Dear Rachana:
Sorry to reply you late as I am very poor in technology/knowledge as well as very poor internet connection.
yes you are right - it is based upon rainwater but it is not purely rainwater harvesting. it is little bit different.
My technology is collecting rain water or storm water (low TDS water) upon high TDS subsoil aquifer. Thus the low TDS water floats upon high TDS subsoil aquifer. this reduces the soil salinity as well as salt deposition upon top soil and then post monsoon (when there is no water logging) this stored low TDS water is used for surface irrigation.
this is very simple (I have named it villager's Physics).

Dear Violeta:
Sorry for very late reply.
The reason is that we are very poor in internet communication as well as internet connection is very fluctuating. When your mail came we thought to reply you but due to late arrival of rain (just with your mail) we got ourselves busy and your mail slipped from our mind. Forgive us.
Now let me answer your query from 2 perspectives - 1. Our own experience with our business model and then 2. What we believe in general
I. Our own experience with our business model:
In our model, we have kept poorest poor women at the center of all activities related to our clients. This gives the advantage of dedicated clients, work force, delivery team as well as our success story is much more well accepted for potential clients through real life cases. In business model competition the judges described this is one of the unique barrier of entry as well as the strength of the programme.
Secondly, we have designed following factors as barrier of entry
a. No one is able to develop this till date
b. We hire services of women SHGs for client identification (advantage- company’s cost cutting in HR head & client’s 360 degree evaluation by women SHGs)
c. Facilitating clients in cost sharing & risk minimization through encouraging commune cultivation process= clients’ risk minimization = our income increases & global teams brand it social revolution in India!
d. Handover of the whole civil+mechanical system to commune after 6-7 years = ensuring better maintenance= ownership among users from the first day = dedicated clients= guarantee of repeat performance
e. No other agency can extend service in ensuring food security
f. It ensures rural family’s urgent need – grass for animal husbandry
g. It increased family income beyond imagination = further value addition is easier
h. Converting desertified lands into green cover- environmentally responsible!
These all above points are pertaining to our model. Now let us share our general feeling for barriers of entry
II. What we believe about strong strategies on barriers of entry?
a. we need to give our customer the best possible solution at a very affordable rate and if we are part of the risk sharing then the clients will be very happy to follow the suit.
b. if the clients can feel that they are actually part of the whole process - they go for it whole heartedly. We need to be honest in sharing that process to potential clients
c. If the clients are convinced that they are getting long term asset benefit along with the regular benefit then it accelerates the client inclusion
Our clients are illiterate, socially deprived, majority are widow and can not earn even USD 1/day for whole family, still at the end of the day we always keep in mind that these clients can not be looked down for their current position; they need to be given the best quality of service. They understand that they are getting best services in spite of their worst bargaining position. Once you touch their heart then no need of looking back or no fear of competition.
