What are the primary activities of your project?
The primary activities of Camp S.T.E.M is interactive technology exposure that gives the child a visual creative exposure to all the amazing fields that exisit within S.T.E.M
What is innovative about your initiative? How is it a new contribution to the field?
Camp S.T.E.M innovation exist through our interactive social curriculum that exposes our participant back to the creative side of learning. So much of the current education curriculum in the US is test driven that the creative side of education has become second hand. Camp S.T.E.M was derived to first expose youth the stem diciplines through visual interactive experiences. We have strong IT background staff and our founder has been on a quest to find the missing T in S.T.E.M.
Technology is not field specific and can be found in every field, it has own letter in S.T.E.M but is buried in the Science and Egineering. We want to expose youth to the endless possibilities that technology allows them to create.

Camp S.T.E.M community is located in Northeast OH, our community expands all the way to the Phillipines with students from across the globe with all economic background. We have a curriculum dedicated to the at-risk youth and are under serve. Our Goal is to expose all youth to the endless possibilities that Technology and S.T.E.M related fields allow them to create.

Candace Benson the founder of Camp Tech, Camp S.T.E.M, Girl`ology and mycamptech inspiration rest with her 25 years of experience and wanting students to become apart of creative aspects of interactive technology and all the possibilities that exsist in the field that is apart of every field. Camp Tech program's and curriculum is being requested by school districts and universities throughout Northeast OH and United States. Our success is measured on youth being able to excell to next grade levels, high school and college graduation

Our current barriers is staffing and funding resources. We are currently recruiting college students and seeking other funding opportunities.
