Mission
Serving San Antonio’s youth, SAY Sí is a year round, long-term, non-profit multidisciplinary arts program that provides students opportunities to develop artistic and social skills in preparation for higher educational advancement and professional careers.

Vision
SAY Sí is committed to creating a premier, dynamic and nurturing educational environment for San Antonio’s artistic youth. SAY Sí recognizes that the arts reshape how young people learn, communicate and prepare for their work and civic future. SAY Sí’s vision is to meet the current needs of students, to provide quality programs and resources, and to prepare for future growth and development for San Antonio’s economic and cultural community.

Core Values
•Dedicated to Quality Arts Education
•Encouraging High Standards of Achievement
•Fostering Excellence and Leadership
•Contributing to a Community of Reciprocal Learning
•Providing a Culture of Support, Creativity and Purpose

SAY Sí pursues its mission through arts educational programs that impact San Antonio youth. Students in elementary, middle school, high school and local colleges are the core population served. We believe strongly that workforce development and economic development begin youth development. Youth development is at the core of our mission and vision. SAY Sí provides a foundation for our urban youth to grow and develop real world skills that will set them on the path to college, provides a footing for navigating in a continuously developing world and ultimately gives them the ability to make a difference in their community.

SAY Sí’s programs: Project SAY Sí, Project WAM, Project MAS, Teatro ALAS, and Project ABC, work in unison to enrich the lives of thousands of youth each year. SAY Sí strives to help participants grow, develop their skills and become responsible youth and adults. The staff works to create a positive youth-centered atmosphere where young people are seen as resources to develop rather than problems to be managed.

Reason:

At SAY Sí we are surrounded by the power of the arts and the continuous development of creativity. Daily we are reminded of the transformative effect that the arts have on education, youth development and self-efficacy. We also recognize that when you make a long-term commitment to something [both in our programs and students] it yields some astonishing results* Highlighted in this letter are just a handful of our students: six of thousands who have been provided with professional, tuition-free arts training to advance their educational and professional careers. Please consider supporting our middle and high school students as they advance toward their goals. Choose to SAY YES. We understand that these are challenging economic times, and the choice to SAY YES is even more difficult this year than in years past. But we also recognize that our community always realizes that our work shows results. SAY Sí is the proof that the arts contribute to the advancement of our youth and community. If you value the arts and the transformative power they have on the lives of youth, please choose to SAY YES and send us your tax deductible gift. * over the last 8 years 99% of our students have graduated from high school and 98% have gone on to college. The cumulative graduation rate for San Antonio high schools is 65%
