Hi Julie,
I just noticed your entry for the first time, and I LOVE it! Truly, if you are able to find your tipping points for this game, the hottest game to have, I think it could be brilliant!
Clearly, if the attitudes of men are not molded properly on the issues early on, they become much more difficult to change. And video games to date seem to be focused on violence.
I'm hoping you're on facebook, because I'd like to keep up with your progress on this innitiatve!
Hi Susan,
Thanks so much for your encouraging words about Breakaway, the Electronic Game to Address Violence Against Women!
We are really excited about the potential to reach huge numbers of young people with this game. We believe that the accompanying social media network and website components through which the initial web version of the game will be housed are going to be a great place to build a community for young people to discuss their favorite characters, compare their football teams and also discuss the events that take place within each episode of the game. With 14 episodes of the game slated to be released over a 6 month time frame, there will be a lot of interesting subject material to discuss and digest around social responsibility and relationships and consequently a greater understanding about issues surrounding violence against women. Our mission is to keep the game elements fun and the narrative elements cohesive and gripping in order to tell a story that plants the seeds for future change makers!

With all the sites I posted, I neglected to add the specific Facebook site for the game, called "Empowering Play". You can follow the game's progress there at:
