Aloha Lenny,

Proof is in "the putting the request out there" which requires an awareness, that says, everything we have ever received in the flesh/physical world, has come from another's asking, in the unseen 'mental' world, UNTIL it manifests vocally, physically &/or when another sees something 'like' a request in the actions of another, having been there & done that, thus knowing 'the self' would GREATLY APPRECIATE INTERCESSION in the EXTERIOR.

'Sow' too the same goes, in the unseen, the unknown & the non-asked, lies the ignorance, with which we can corrupt ourselves, our lives & our relationships, thus our breathing reflects the practice we have learned from others since the preprogramming that begins at birth; real birth, when the spermatazoan (sperm) psychic field (unseen genetic thoughts/vibration of atoms/cells), first senses the ovum WiTHiN the womb.

Both parents invite the child to MAN i fest (manifest) & thus the child responds by wombMAN i festing (maturation) as the sperm [& ovum, equally] is conscious, & prepares the recipe (WiTHiN each simultaneously) to create a catch27 or lifefixel (merged personality, to fix the parents ignorance, of their lives lived as they may not have focused on ENOUGH before having [asking] the cells [to] work, or where the parents chose not, were forcecd knot &/or refused not to search for answers. Since some children do not (womb)manifest, parents of still-borns, apparently, no longer need to turn from reap-eating ignorance, having learned something, importantly life-changing (like the death of a child - sometimes that's all it takes to fix 'adult-errors').

Thank you for this opportunity of self honesty to, TOLL - Think Out Loud Liberally [for] - myself & all the other earthlings (other me's) who may choose to benefit from my determined, mined, observation of humanity. Thus the tax (toll) is 'right' now (paid) & not 'left' for later [when life becomes, is birthed & given/seen to help me/us learn from my/our, LIFE LONG EDUCATION...] in/of the unkonwn.

THis is when humanity will change for the BETTER; soon, when women & men will no longer have to be protected or protect another, we will live in the peace from WiTHiN, except to 'adapt' to the nature of OUR MASTER FIXER, the nurturing planet earth, that humans or better, 'citzens' speak of her actions, as disasters. Earth is my mother!

i MUST & will continue to learn FROM her earthling ways,

Peace~!

What I really like about this program is that it looks at violence prevention within an entire community and creating a ripple effect. It seems like this project has the potential to reach not only the affected women (which seems to be the focus of most gender-based violence initiatives), but also to their communities, through the shared training programs you've detailed.

So it seems that this both would create a systemic change (embedding the practice of yoga, meditation, centering within a community as a positive, proactive response to violence) but is also a disruptive innovation (reaching beyond women to the people around them, as well as turning the women themselves into teachers, healers and participants in their healing and their community's).

Also, the way you've described this, it seems like this project is ready for wide scaling, through your partnership model and the development of the training manual.

you highlight my favorite aspects of the MH program.

the goal is to remain sensitive to the specific needs of survivors without marginalizing them. there are many programs that simply offer hand-outs, which from my perspective, only revictimizes people.

what comes after?

by turning women into their own healers, they take back control over themselves, it's not something given to them.
in turn, they are able to give something back as teachers. this is the ripple effect you mention.

as for replication of the model...i purposefully chose to partner with organizations in order to streamline costs & to make it accessible anywhere. the program can complement on-going projects at hospitals, clinics, schools, organizations, etc...which makes it quick & easy to implement.

This is an interesting proposal in that it gives the individual some very practical, readily available, and inexpensive tools for both dealing with ongoing stress and initiating healing after the trauma of violence. Moreover, the practitioner is then trained and encouraged to share this information with others -- aiding others with similar backgrounds, but equally significantly providing an alternative way to address stress and violence across a community. Yoga is ideal because more than an "exercise" it is really a daily practice that can be embedded into the fabric of our culture, making possible real change in how we engage on a day to day basis.

thanks for pointing out the practical elements of the project. i think that aspect gets overlooked in a lot of people's analysis--they just don't think it's that easy.

and i really think it is!

traditional relief focuses on: food, water, shelter, security, health care. covering these basic needs is difficult enough, one-on-one mental health counseling is just not going to happen. MH programs put the responsibility of healing in the survivors hands.

yoga & meditaion are easy means to this self-directed healing.

also, by creating an easily assimilated model that can be presented in a larger context, MH helps create a healing dynamic in communities. and, cultural sensitivity is preserved since this information/method/technique is being shared by locals.

I have a good feeling about this.
