It is a project which brings peace in families and protects women from domestic violence. It also helps many young men to join together in income generating and other activities. Uganda is a poor country and many people become frustrated out of poverty.The project helps to keep people out of violence.
Through meetings which discuss cases of violence that happened in the village people members discuss ways of settling the conflicts in a peaceful way.
Reason:
It is the only one I know in Uganda that works with groups of men against violence and has helped me find an occupation in society.It is educative,developmental and its counseling programs are very popular. The project has run effficiently without any major funding and has introduced a new way of safeguarding investment funds by paying someone to handle the transactions of those who receive a revolving loan for their investment.The investor client does not have to handle cash for investment.If the nation used this method,the global aids fund and other funds would not have been lost.This is a project that teaches society about the evils of involving children in violence and has helped our village to be more peaceful.
