I would like young women around the world to have the opportunity to chart their own life path.
I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Health at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services, with a focus in global health communication.
My areas of interest include behavior change communication, adolescent health, reproductive health, maternal/child health, cultural competency, mass media communication, and patient-provider communication. I am dedicated to combining public health practice and research. For example, I collaborate with Population Services International on ways to integrate the design of their social marketing programs with more thoughtful and practical research strategies.
I earned my DrPH, in health communication from the Department of Population Family and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. I earned an MPH from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health and an AB in Development Studies from Brown University.
