Yvette Hardy and Angela Linebaugh, art therapists at The Lehman Center, a program of Children's Aid Society are changemakers in the very nature of our work - using art to help children transform their lives. Yvette and Angela have a passion for change and moving the world forward no matter how small the change, we believe in and support even the smallest change in our work with children and families.
Yvette and Angela visited a poet-tree at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. We found in this place a connection to our work in York, Pennsylvania. This place - the poet tree - was the inspiration for this project entry and how lead us to many connections in our work with children and families who have had trauma or abuse in their lives.
A change that Yvette and Angela passionately want to happen is for the community of York City to come together against the increasing violence and abuse. We want the city leaders and agencies to set aside concerns over who gets the credit to partner together and become more effective and powerful. We want the citizens of York to be to become involved and drive the decision making of the change.
Please see attached community projects that Yvette and Angela have done through their work at The Lehman Center.
