Change comes about through complex sets of circumstances, both external and internal. Holding assessment skills on how change happens means being able to support initiatives with key interventions. Having lived & worked with local organizations throughout the Asia-Pacific region for nearly 40 years, I have the tools and sensitivities for supporting such key efforts.
Most of my life has been working in or for Southeast Asia and South Asia. This region gives me so much and hopefully I return back equally. And then there is my family, where I have such special connection.
The quality of education across the Asia region is predominately "teacher-centered" classrooms, where children learn by rote. I want to see "children-centered" classrooms, where the teacher supports each child's path for learning.
I hold 38+ years’ of international management and program work in humanitarian NGOs, 15 years senior program management experience, and especially skilled in tracking grants, managing staff from diverse backgrounds, holding agencies accountable to budgets, raising funds from international corporations, negotiating grants with government donors, as well as reporting on corporate & foundation grant requirements.
