I am passionate about teaching contemporary and folk dance. I also have a vast experience of working with students and young people at risk of offending including new arrivals.
Currently I am working in several arts projects involving professional artists and young people in different London Boroughs.
In 2005 I launched a new event for young people called Dance Challenge, a dance competition for several primary, secondary schools and community groups. This event runs several times a year in London and other UK cities. Taking part in this project has changed soem of young poeple's lifes and they have gone to persue their careers in performing arts.
My parents village in South Albania. I use to spend there my holidays as a child and it has staied with me since. I remember the beautifull nature, smells of different plants and trees and the sound of running water whereever you go.
I am passionate about healthy living and i believe that learning and practicing dance or any art form can transform people’s. I aim to make high quality arts accessible to every one.
I am the founder and artistic director of Culture & Arts. I am a professional dancer and choreographer trained at the Academy of Dancing and at the University of Fine Arts in Tirana, Albania, and the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance, London. My style is a fusion of contemporary, folk and classical dancing. I have worked with renowned companies including English National Opera, Classical Ballet of Madrid, in Spain and Albanian National Ballet.
