I'm a social worker--a profession built on social changemaking.
I want to see change in how communities respond to social issues. I want communities to rally around those in need--the poor, the sick, the young, and the elderly. I want to see the United States (and likely many other nations) move away from an individualistic ideology to a communal sense of responsibility for all beings.
I currently work in a local hospital as a social worker in direct practice. I work in all areas of the hospital which provides me with insight into many social systems. I have research experience in domestic violence, poverty, mental health, chemical dependency, and HIV/AIDS. I also have experience in policy and program development.
