By transforming positive energy into positive change for those in need.
Himalaya's.
To help people getting the basic needs they are entitled to.
I have a background in leisure patterns, tourism, nature conservation and environmental issues and I have travelled back and forth to Nepal for the last 5 years.
After working in these fields in Holland, the Caribbean, Romania and Nepal, I have been an active member of The Nepal Trust since Februay 2007, where I am involved in the planning, setup and implementation of projects related to all The Nepal Trust’s practice areas.
Due to my studies and work experience abroad, I am familiar with working in developing countries on local level and therefore know what time, effort and dedication it takes to work in an environment that lacks things that we so often take for granted, such as basic infrastructure, electricity, water supply, road accessibility, market linkages or a stabilized political system.
As The Nepal Trust is working on grass-roots level in the Himalayas of Nepal under these conditions in order to help poorer people in food deficient, remote and backward areas, I feel rewarded to be a part of the solution that contributes to alter the livelihoods of these people in need.
