I resist settling for the status quo and believe its my mission to help solve the problems we face in our world. I'm always looking for new ideas to implement and support, especially new ideas that promise to affect fundamental change in our society. While in college, I started a college and scholarship mentoring program for high school students that has helped a dozen students enroll in college who otherwise might not have. Over the past two years I have supported a statewide effort to build a bioscience industry and helped build a nonprofit, New Global Citizens, that empowers youth to engage in social change. Now I am in law school to gain additional tools to support social entrepreneurs and social changemovements.

I passionate want to see all youth, no matter their class, family situation, race, etc, having access to all the opportunities, tools, and contacts necessary to realize their dream careers.
Keren G. Raz is a first year law student at New York University School of Law with a passion for travel and social entrepreneurship. She has volunteered at a school for the mentally handicapped and deaf in Peru and studied economic development in Asia. Prior to law school, Keren worked as Director of Programs for Youth Re:Action Corps, a nonprofit that educates, empowers, and invests in young people to change the world. She also worked as a biotechnology writer for the Flinn Foundation, one of Arizona's leading philanthropic organizations. Keren received a B.A. from University of Arizona summa cum laude in May 2005, where she majored in English and political science with minors in Spanish and Chinese. While at UA, Keren co-founded the Magna Mentoring Project, a college and scholarship mentoring program for low-income high school students.
Keren Raz is a prospective Reynolds Fellow and highly qualified and skilled candidate chosen to represent the NYU Reynolds program as an Ambassador.
