Turismo Auténtico Costa Rica

I think that I can use my knowledge in Rural Tourism to support local communities, indigenous people, women associations, youth groups, farmers, fishing families and local conservationist organizations that right now, are working to protect their forest and culture through Rural Tourism activities. I can get that they have access to world-wide market of travellers. I want that they find another solution that it's not be sell their land to emigrate to the city because the tourism did not give them to live. I offer them my experience to promove their wonderful touristic products with more efficiency and focused in a potential tourist who wants to have the chance to become part of their conservation efforts and create more opportunities for Costa Rican people.

Talamanca (in Costa Rica) is a place when nobody is less than other, when you can feel the goodness of our nature and humanity. Everybody has a smile on its face. Talamancan people are hard-working and generous persons. They are realizing their dream of making a better world for their future generations. Yesterday (April 2nd, 2008), I was there, and as usual, for my was really hard to say them good bye...

To get a real sustainable development... socially, environmentally and economically.

I'm the founder of Turismo Auténtico, a travel agency specialized in Community-based Rural Tourism of Costa Rica. Also I'm a consultant for local conservation organizations that have created their own touristic iniciatives and need help to start their activities of marketing and sales. I'm graduated at Business and Touristic Activities carreer. Also, I'm an advanced student of Anthropology. I like to walk and discover places that are really off the beaten paths. I offer my experience to show to the world, the wonderful touristic product of Costa Rica's grassroots. In that way, many indigenous, afrocaribbean, campesino and fishing families have the opportunity to generate alternative income sources for their families, communities and country without abandoning their homes, customs, culture, and having the opportunity to continue with their conservation efforts of the natural resources surrounded. In addition, I enjoy recommend the most charming places and helping people to plan their vacations to my authentic country... Costa Rica!!!
