About Jaideep Bose
Bio
When Jaideep Bose took over as Executive Editor of the Times of India (TOI) in 2004, he was the youngest ever editor to do so in the publication's 170-year-old history. With 8 regional editions, TOI is not only India's largest-selling English general daily, but also the leading English general daily broadsheet in the world. Beginning his career at the age of 24 with The Telegraph in Kolkata, Jaideep moved to the TOI Group, holding various positions as Resident Editor of the Economic Times (ET) in Kolkata, editorship of the Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata editions combined, and then as Executive Editor of ET, a national position.
As Executive Editor of TOI, Jaideep was responsible for the creation and launch of the Mumbai Mirror, a city newspaper. He is on the editorial board of Times NOW, TOI's 24-hour news channel, and is on the board of several TOI Group companies. It was also under his leadership that the successful TOI Group civil society campaigns India Poised, Lead India and now, the Teach India initiatives were launched.
