Education
Passed West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination with 2nd Division in 1982.
Passed Licensed Mechanical Engineering (equivalent to Graduation in Science) with 2nd Class from Birla Institute of Technology, Kolkata (Government of West Bengal)in 1989.
Training (Non HIV/AIDS)
Industrial Training of 45 days in Hindustan Motors Ltd., Hindmotor, West Bengal.
Industrial Training of 22 months in Kolkata Port Trust, Kolkata as Technician Apprentice.

1989 – 1999: Worked as independent regular Mechanical Contractor and
Supplier in Dankuni Coal Complex and in other industries.
Agent (Government of India licensed) of Life Insurance Corporation of India and National Insurance Company.
Recovery Agent of UCO Bank, India Exchange Place Branch, Kolkata.

Worked as an Advocacy Associate and Positive Speaker in AIDS Healthcare Foundation-India Cares, New Delhi, India
HIV/AIDS Related Experience
Since own HIV detection in 1999, worked as Initiator and Founder Secretary
Of first independent Kolkata-based PLWH group En-Joy (since known as BNP+) till 2004.
As first INP+ Focal Point for West Bengal.
As UNDP Focal Point for West Bengal in Regional HIV/AIDS Program for North and Southeast Asia.
As Co-Facilitator in a series of training about "Transformational Leadership for Results for PLWH" organized by UNDP, nationally and regionally.
Revealed own life in the book, "Hum Saath Saath Hai" (Hindi), an Indian edition of "Positive Development", a book of Global Network of HIV+ in English, published by UNAIDS.
· Shared my experiences as an HIV Positive person with photograph in the book/ multimedia C.D. "Quiet Storm" published by UNDP.
· Assisted Mrs. Anuradha Bhattacharya, Communication Expert, IIM, Joka, Kolkata, with own photograph as a positive resource person in the development of the book in Bengali, "Sustha Jiban" supported by UNDP.
· Attended different local, national, Regional and International workshops, Conferences, Trainings, Seminars on Need Assessment, Counseling, Transformational Leadership, Positive Speaking, Treatment, Care and Support, Home Based Care, Human Rights, Networking, Project Planning/Proposal Writing, M.I.S, Organizational Development, Advocacy, GIPA (Greater Involvement of People with AIDS) Consultation, Media Handling, IEC etc. organized variously by local/national NGOs, INP+, Action Aid, UNDP, UNAIDS, ILO, FPI, UNICEF, OXFAM, VSO India, V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, NOIDA and others.
· Worked as Counselor in Family Planning Association of India (A member organization of International Planned Parenthood Federation), Kolkata branch.
· Worked as Coordinator (Volunteer) - HIV/AIDS Program in Gwalior Children and General Hospital and Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Gwalior, M.P., India.
· Associated with "World AIDS Campaign" .org, "Stand Up Campaign".org and with other e-forums and campaigns.
· Participated in "Future Tense" as an 2nd line Treatment Activist in Advocacy Multimedia C.D. by Action Aid India.
· Member of International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC), World Community Advisory Board
· Member of GNP+, Love Life Society and DNP+.
· Member of "Amnesty International India".
