I am the founder and CEO of a startup 501c3 nonprofit called Epic Change.
Stacey Monk is the founder and CEO of Epic Change, a startup 501(c)(3) nonprofit that "helps hopeful people in need share their stories to acquire resources that will improve their lives." Epic Change makes loans to grassroots changemakers across the globe, then partners with loan recipients to share their stories in ways that generate the income necessary to facilitate loan repayment & sustain their efforts. Repaid loans are recycled to fund Epic Change in other parts of the world.
A graduate of the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, Monk worked with Deloitte Consulting, Genentech and the Santa Clara County Social Services Agency prior to launching her own successful consulting firm, Funken Consulting, in 2004. Throughout her career, she has focused on helping leaders in the public and private sector successfully create, lead and navigate substantive organizational change initiatives. After a life-changing trip through Africa in 2007, Monk left her for-profit career to create Epic Change.
