I run the Youth in Philanthropy Programme South Africa (YIPPSA) which aims at promoting a culture of giving and service amongst high school leraners and nurture a new genration of socially responsible youth in South Africa.
I am extremely passionate about my country South Africa. With its dynamic history, amazing people and rich cultural diversity it is indeed a place where the beauty not only reflects in the breathtaking landscape but shines through the souls of its citizens.
I would like to see South African youth empowered by dynamic programmes that contributes to a quality education; career guidance; opportunities for higher education; employment and active civic partcipation.
Samantha Castle, coordinates YIPPSA and is passionate about developing and empowering South African Youth. She has Diplomas in Public Relations; Conference, Exhibition and Events Management; Certificate in Project Management and a Certificate in Short Film Production. She is currently studying towards BA degree.
In 2005, she received the Young Event Organiser of the Year Award from the Western Cape Department for Economic Development and Tourism.
Samantha conceptualised the YIPPSA programme and piloted it with three schools in 2006. The programme has since grown significantly and is making a fundamental change amongst the youth and communities it serves.
