David Reiling has been a leader in community development banking for over fifteen years. As President of University Bank, he sought Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certification for the bank; University Bank was the first bank in the state of Minnesota to receive this honor. Today, David leads three banks (all CDFI banks) with a mission to be the Leader in Improving Our Urban Community. The banks lend agressively in the urban cores of Minnneapolis and St. Paul and offer customers the opportunity to invest in their community through the Socially Responsible Deposit Fund accounts to deposit consumers.
