John Balz is a graduate student in political science at the University of Chicago studying American politics. He worked as a research assistant for Cass Sunstein and Richard Thaler throughout the writing of Nudge, and also edited the Nudge blog at http://nudges.wordpress.com. John's broad interest in human decision making and politics made Nudge an unusually attractive project to work on, and he is excited about seeing where the lessons of behavioral economics and psychology will take public policy, in the United States and around the world, in the future.
