I sensitise poor communities to theirnutrition and health needs. Give training to empower rural dwellers economically and I equip young persons with life survival skills. I also train HIV-positive persons on living positively. Iadvocate for environmental conservation and facilitate training on the use of biogas, snail and local fowl rearing and cultivation of vegetables for family consuption. Ipromote gender rights and the rights of persons with disability.
Ifeel strong connection to the place of my birth in the rain forest of Nigeria. Ilove the sound of the animals, the birds and the insects and the damp smell of the thick foliage. I love the communal living by the people, their strong concern for one another's welfare, the rich sense of humour and their optimistic outlook.
I want to see the grassroots people in poor communities in Africa living above poverty level with good governance effective health care and a consciousness of issues that are vital to their survival and global well-being
I've worked in the development sector for more than 13 years addressing issues of reproductive health, HIV/AIDS' prevention, care and support, democracy and governance, youth and women empowerment, disability issues, environmental conservation and micro-finance.
