In small ways (i.e. the way we have raised our five children to be healthy in body, mind and spirit, in my social work or nutrition practise) that have "rippled" beyond what we initially imagined. Those ripples have included working with our children's community sports teams and programs to help them grow in understanding of health and nutrition, raising awareness through education (i.e. in the school system, through emailed newsletters sent to my clients, through giving seminars) on the "business" of food and health care, and how to buy in ways that supports both one's family's health but also the economic and physical health of those growing the food and our environment as a whole.
Would love for everyone in the world to have access to and funds to grow/purchase natural, good quality, real food to healthily sustain themselves and their children.
Trained and worked as a social worker for about 10 years and then moved into studying, writing and working in the field of nutrition and natural health. Have been self-employed in that field for approximately 20 years.
