I am a changemaker because i stand up for what i believe in, i could have taken any career path but i chose to work defending women and advancing their rights. I fight for the equality of all human kind and against partriarchy which is the greatest oppressor of women. I fight for women to reclaim their bodies, to start speaking out but mostly i fight for myself.
A warm, loving and unjudgemental place. A place with my family and friends, a place where as a woman i can make my own choices and not be seen as an enemy for speaking out about what i want and what i'm entitled to.
i want to see all women speak out. Women making decisions about their own bodies and not letting the system dictate to us what our roles as women are.
I have worked in the human rights/ women's rights sector for about 8 years now, especially focusing on lesbian women's rights. I have a background in ICT, programming and design and am currently working in media and communications.
I've also been part of a Citizen Journalism project which aimed at equipping NGOs in skills where they can own and tell their own stories instead of leaving it to the mainstream media.
