I have developed a grassroots program that connects communities in developed and developing nations and creates sustainable improvements to the lives of the poor. My system is simple, low cost and efficient. I want to prove that everyone has the power to make a difference.
Bethlehem, Uganda, a small rural village with a big heart.
I want women to always feel safe, men be able to keep their pride and children to have the ability to hope. I want the world to be more balanced between NEED and HAVE and for people who have so much to understand the causes of others having so little.
I am a professional land surveyor, running my small town USA business since 1998. In 1997, I was named one of the top 5 women business owners in the country and began to speak and write about empowerment. In 2000, I spoke in New Zealand and Africa and learned that I could find ways to encourage and help others. In 2004, I created Both Your Hands, a 501C3 nonprofit that is "small but Mighty." We work with poor communities to improve economic development, health, infrastructure, education and well being with small grassroots programs. I am a PhD Student at Univ. of Buffalo in Global Gender Studies.
