Manglajodi is a village on bank of Chilika Lake. It differs from other 132 villages due to their decade long community conservation efforts which made it a safe haven for more than 150000 birds, who come every winters. I am fascinated by conservation story but at the same time worried about their livelihoods which are entirely dependent on the one and only mighty Chilika.
Community Conservation Efforts can be strengthened by initiating Ecotourism activities which will surely generate a substantial employment and opportunity for other development and conservation initiatives. I would like to help the implementing organizations in achieving this vision.Livelihood generation through Conservation and Ecotourism activities will help other villages to strengthen conservation initiatives and protect their land like Mangalajodi.
