The idea for the African Fathers Initiative I now direct has been many years in formulation. I have worked part time on it from my own resources, have garnered support from others along the way and will continue to commit myself to it until it is brought to a stage where it is a major player in the policy formulation and practices around fatherhood and family issues in Africa.
