I have got a great interest and passion in changing the livelihood of my fellow citizens. I started working in the community focused projects at the age of 15 when i was still in school and engaged in peer youth education on matters affecting the youth e.g. HIV Aids, drug abuse unwanted early marriages through songs and acts. In many instances I have gone an extra mile to help someone in the community may it be through organizing my friends to visit the needy and assist them. I have always strived to change my community to the best and I will never stop doing well to my community.
I’m largely concerned by my fellow youths who many call the leaders of tomorrow; I believe that the youth have a lot of capabilities to change the current situation in the world and sidelining them will not solve the problems but make them worse. I believe that the youth needs to be engaged in the development of the economy for continuity and sustainability.
The change I would like to see happen is seeing youths engaging themselves in all sectors of the economy and politics, starting from leadership and decision making, and all other sectors. I dream for a world where more 50% of decision making, leadership and economic growth participation will include young people.
I have worked in the community development based projects since I was fifteen years old as a peer youth educator volunteer and currently am voluntarily part time working with foundation for young farmers www.farmersfoundation.org an organization we started with my friend to change the poverty persistence in the country through engaging the youth and new technology in farming. I am a qualified accountant but still a student expanding my knowledge and proud to be working with the largest microfinance in Africa. I have also been involved with different activities involving community development and I a member of many development committees on developments.
