Simply put I am a connector. When issues arise, I make an effort to look at the complete picture before I implement solutions.
I am a global citizen but I feel a connection to the people living in conflict zones. These people are the most vulnerable often living without the basics of life.
Creating spaces for dialogue, understanding and respect are important places for me.
Peace is practical and peace is possible.
It is my belief that peace is possible with practical everyday steps. I hope to inspire and act as a leader for peace. I think my everyday actions can build communities, promote friendship and teamwork and catalyze similar activities.
I can inspire change by using new media and accessible communication tools.
My work in international development is both broad and deep. I have a diverse work profile from developing economic livelihoods to reviewing peacebuilding projects. I have worked with the Government of Canada, UNICEF Canada and the United Nations Development Programme.
I am a graduate from the Fletcher School at Tufts University as well as a Rotary World Peace Fellow. I created a Million Acts of Peace during my fellowship with in 2009.
