I am a medical doctor and my profession itself is a dedicated passion given to make a change in the state of health of an ill person.
I have been constantly involved in organization like "Nepal Medical Students' Society" from the first year of my medical school. Its sole aim is to develop the feeling of fraternity among students for the exercise of their responsibility in creating a healthy society.
I have also been involved in IPPNW( International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War),a Nobel peace laureate 1985AD.IPPNW carries the philosophy of abolishing the nuclear weapons from the world. Besides this it advocates for public health approach to reduce violence in society and peace through health.
So basically I feel my responsibility in the society for peace and health, the major challenges of the contemporary world.
I feel strong connection in the organization in which I am working. Besides that I find heaven in dealing with the patients in hospital and feel a ecstasy of satisfaction by their joyous expressions.
Primary Health care cant be denied as right of every citizen of the world, even in the worst circumstances of war.Regardless of the economic strength of the person to buy health, everybody should have access to basic health care and health is not an entity to be bought indeed.
During my medical schools I have taken several studies reagrding public health issues like assessing the knowledge, attitude and practice of rural people in areas of infectious disease and sexually transmitted infection.
The critical analysis of the major problem of hospitals, making long term plan maternal and child health and through investigation of epidemiology of deadly disease are the areas which I am involved. Though my work dont have significant contribution in global context, I believe acting locally and thinking globally are the initial steps of making change in the world.Indeed i believe every great achievements of the world have their initiation in an idea.
