ecoRI Inc. | Executive director | Providence RI United States
Started a nonprofit Web site devoted to protecting Rhode Island’s ecosystems and natural resources through independent environmental journalism.
This nonprofit also will accomplish three important goals: fill the gap in environmental reporting that exists in Rhode Island; increase public awareness and civic participation in environmental issues; and train future environmental writers and journalists.
Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. More than 30 islands dot the bay and it features picturesque views and beautiful beaches. Its shoreline provides plenty of places to relax, read or take a walk. It's what makes Rhode Island the Ocean State.
We need to embrace smart growth, adopt better environmental legislation, write better energy policy, support community-sponsored agriculture, and throw away less by recycling and composting.
I've spent the past 20 years as a journalist at a variety of publications, from small weeklies to large daily newspapers. I'm currently the executive director of ecoRI Inc.
