I believe a successful community is one in which neighbors care for one another and which puts its own resources to work to improve the quality of life for all its residents.
My work and the volunteers that give so many hours caring for those in need.
An end to the injustice in the world.
I have a degree in human services and have worked and/or volunteered for non-profits throughout my life. For many years I worked with a community action agency helping at risk youth and low income families, with the Red Cross I responded to national disaster victims. Volunteer work included Habitat for Humanity where I partnered with three families. Currently I work with Neighbor to Neighbor. I chose the human service field because I firmly believe it is our responsibility to assist those in need, no matter how great the burden to help. I believe individually we can make a difference in someone’s life...collectively we can change the world.
