I consider myself a changemaker because I have dedicated my life to fixing a problem within the public debate through my non-profit project Debatepedia.org.
Washington, DC is a place of particular importance to me. It is a place where the people you meet are living idealistic dreams but with realistic expectations of how to get there. And, for someone like myself dedicated to the public debate, DC is a very stimulating place.
I want to fix a problem in the public debate with Debatepedia.org. The problem is that arguments are scattered across editorials, opinion pieces, and essays. This makes it hard for citizens to deliberate and develop positions. We solve this problem by centralizing the arguments and quotations in these resources into distilled pro/con articles.
I've been working on Debatepedia.org since the summer of 2006. Before then, I was an undergraduate student at Georgetown University. And, before then, I grew up in Seattle.
