Deborah Bae joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2005 and works on the Coverage team and the Pioneer portfolio at the Foundation. On the Coverage team, Deborah oversees an array of state-based initiatives, mostly focused on expanding health insurance coverage in the United States, including State Health Reform Assistance Network, State Refor(u)m, and Medicaid Leadership Institute. Deborah’s focus on the Pioneer portfolio includes finding innovative, low-cost health solutions to improve health and health care.
Previously, Deborah worked in the NYC Department of Health Bureau of Informatics and Data Services. She also was a microbiology laboratory research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania.
Deborah holds masters degrees in public and business administration from New York University and a bachelors degree in chemistry from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She resides in New Jersey.
